Suskwa Biomass Power Project

The Suskwa Biomass Project is to be located near New Hazleton, BC. Once completed, the 34 MW biomass facility will generate an estimated 252 GWh of electricity per year.

This project will:

• Create new bioeconomic opportunities in forestry and agriculture for rural and Gitxsan First Nation communities

• Provide 25,000 homes with new “made-in-BC” bioenergy

• Lower greenhouse gas emissions

• Help capture value from decadent forest residuals
